'i challenge you..

... to a 28 day Higher Level Training, fitness, bootcamp *thing.*'
What? I don't understand ALL of the above.
'Training, Fitness, Bootcamp.. '
Non comprende'
And on top of that, have we actually met?
I know you're my best friend & all that jazz, but you should know by now that i am no gym junkie & i can definitely not run very far without feeling like I'm going to die.
Or get light headed & feel like I'm going to pass out.
Now that we've got that sorted..
Yes.
I'd love to do a 28 day bootcamp with you!
I actually can't believe i uttered that word 'Yes.'
UGHH!
So as you may or may not be aware, I'm not into the whole going to the gym thing.
I know i should be blah blahh blahhh!
I've always figured 'Well, im not obese.. so, i must be doing alright.'
Typical non-gym-fitness person, exhibit A: me.
So then my bestie texts me one night last week asking if i want to do some 28 day fitness challenge.
*Before i go on- i have a confession- i thought a 28 day challenge meant i would have to go EVERY single day for 28 days in a row.*
Yeah I'm sure that's normal... isn't it?!
And here's the other thing, in July, I'm hiking up a little place called Machu Picchu & if i actually plan on surviving the hike (which i am) i should *probably* start doing some sort of exercise to get my fitness level up.
Hence my 'Yes.'
28 days started last Saturday morning.
I SURVIVED MY FIRST DAY!
Pretty sure i was more stoked about actually surviving than i was about completing 10 tasks in 50mins.. that sounds good.. doesn't it?!
I can't even remember everything that we did. There were some weights, some jumping thing, push ups, running, those weight-ball thingys.. yeah.. I'm not really clued up on specifics or what anything is even called. And i definitely needed someone to show me how to do EVERYTHING!
All in all, it was pretty fun! I've never done anything like it before so its a personal challenge. Sweet.
Definitely still hurting today & we're going again tonight.
It will be interesting to see how long my jelly legs actually last until they cave under me.
Bring it on!

GUEST BLOG: 'So, I hear you like cats.' By El Vampiro

Hello Blog readers!
How's this for something special~
One of my long time friends, who is practically like a big brother to me, asked this morning if he could write a Guest Blog.
I was stoked at the idea!
So.. here goes, i hope you enjoy it,
xox

You’re a cat person or you’re a dog person. You can’t like both, there is no middle ground. If you’re a cat person, lets get it out there straight up, YOU HAVE NO SOUL…

- Guide dogs/Seeing-eye dogs, yes. Cats? NO – SELFISH BLACK HOLES
- You occasionally hear stories of bad smells coming from neighbours apartments & later find that the owner had been dead for two days & had been partially eaten by their cat. I’ve heard this personally more then a few times, ever with a dog? NO
- Dogs are so awesome, they made a show about one that continually saved the day. This dog was called Lassie, even a Flipper the dolphin was capable of doing good things. Ever heard of show about a cat saving the family continuously? I didn’t think so!
- Dogs are so beautiful and sensitive they literally know their masters voice & can tell if they're getting called by their name or not. Cats? They don’t care about you or the useless name you gave them and will only come to you if they think you're going to feed them, in fact call them anything & they wouldn’t know the difference with names.
- After earthquakes & terrorist attacks, do you ever hear of rescuers using cats to find survivors in the rubble? Cats dragging along sleds in the ice purely so humans don’t have to walk? Sniffer-cats helping the cops find the murders, rapists and criminals? No.
- You come home in a bad mood or even the slightest bit annoyed & the dog will sense it, come to you as you crumble to the floor & just put its paw on you in a gentle way of saying “Hang in there dude!”. A cat? It won’t even touch you unless it thinks its getting food & only then it might rub its body on your pants leaving multitudes of filthy hair everywhere. YUCK!
- Dogs dream. You can sometimes see their paws slightly kick & even the occasional yelp as they're trying to save you in their dream – its beautiful. Cats? They nap. All day, just waiting for you to fall asleep too so they can kill you & have a comfy place to dig their razor sharp claws into.
- Cats have no loyalty, they could leave you and just go where the food is, no stress. Dogs have one owner. One Master – YOU! And will do almost anything for you. They don’t care if you worked all day outside and smell filthy or you just came home from a hit and run & have the body in your boot ready to hide, they would be the first to help “I’ll dig the hole for you dude!” Cats? You're guilty from the second they look at you.
- If someone who you're close to who knows everything about you & you both intimately trust each other, tells you not to trust someone you pretty much take their word for it because you know they don’t want you to get hurt/murdered. Why do you think dogs hate cats so much? Because they’re evil. Cats are evil.
Don’t even start me on they’re stupid faces, they can’t show emotion. No sad, no happy, no painful just the same stupid face all the time. Yuck.

~loyalty~

Ahhh, that old friend.
It's the sort of quality that we don't really think about a lot in our general day to day life, yet it plays such an important role in all of our lives.
And all of us are tested by it at some stage or another.
It might be in something small or it might be in something major that our loyalty gets tested.
It's what you let happen next, that matters the most.
Yeah mate, you are actually in charge of what you allow to happen when faced in a situation that tests your loyalty.
But, what is loyalty?
~the state or quality of being loyal- faithfulness to commitments, obligations & people~
I guess that's a fairly big deal ehh!
Loyalty & trust go hand in hand. It's simple.
You lose loyalty to someone.. usually, it means you also lose trust in them too.
How do we let this happen though?
Maybe it just happens over time if we get burned, hurt or lied to over & over again by those who we thought were our nearest & dearest.
*ouch.
What do you do when someone hurts you in the most heart wrenching sort of way & then you are faced with a crossroad situation where you can either remain loyal to the person who has hurt you & stand up for them or you can totally ruin them..
They will never know whether you chose to diss them or if you do stand up for them.. even after being absolutely ruined by them.
What do you do?

You stay loyal to them.
Stand up for your friend knowing they will never realise what you have done for them.
Because at the end of the day, even if you have been hurt by them.. under all of that pain, you are still friends.
Never abandon those you love, even when it hurts & cuts you to the depths of your soul.
